I am a “word nerd” who loves working with text, from concept to publication, and have been doing it all my adult life—professionally since 1977, and as my own business since 2006.
This passion applies to books, articles, stories, catalogues, websites, and corporate and marketing materials. I’ve handled subjects ranging from horse breeding to aircraft engines, and fiction categories from sword-and-sorcery to romance.
As an editor, I specialize in the consistency hobgoblins that spring up in manuscripts anywhere between first draft and last check before press. As a writer, I specialize in focused content oriented toward the appropriate readership.
Because I both write and edit, I respect an author’s voice so do not over-edit. I also understand the need for more than one set of eyes, and the value of more than one perspective, in bringing documents to their fullest potential.
